How to pull a few common reports in inFlow

So now that you’ve entered all your data into the system, you probably want to see some reporting figures! Here are a few common scenarios to help you understand reports in inFlow Inventory.

End-of-day profit report

This is useful if you want to see your sales/profit totals for today. Typically, this report also includes the cost of goods sold.

  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > All Reports.
  2. Click Sales Order Profit Report.
  3. Ensure that you have set the filters to show only orders with the Payment Status “Paid” and the date set to today’s date.
  4. Click Generate Report.
  5. Click Print, or click Save As to export the report to Excel / PDF.

End-of-day cash report

This one’s useful for retailers who need to check the cash float at the end of the day.

  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > All Reports.
  2. Click the Customer Payment Details report.
  3. Ensure that you have set the filters to show only orders with the Payment Date set to “Today” and the Payment Method set to “Cash”.
  4. Click Generate Report.
  5. Click Print, or click Save As to export the report to Excel / PDF.

Inventory summary report

This includes information on current stock, such as the quantity and the total cost of what you have in your warehouse.

  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > All Reports.
  2. Choose the Inventory Summary Report.
  3. We suggest clicking the >>More link and choosing how you’d like to sort your items.
  4. Click Generate Report.
  5. Click Print, or click Save As to export the report to Excel / PDF.

Inventory aging report

This report is useful if you want to see how long your items have been in inventory. It’s also a great way to see whether sales for an item have slowed.

  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > All Reports.
  2. Choose the Inventory Aging report.
  3. You can filter by a specific category or individually select the products you want the report generated for.
  4. Click Generate Report.
  5. Click Print, or click Save As to export the report to Excel / PDF.

Outstanding orders report

This report provides information on which orders need to be shipped and their requested ship dates.

  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > All Reports.
  2. Choose the Sales Order Operational Report.
  3. Ensure you’ve filtered to show only orders with Inventory Status “Unfulfilled” or “Started”.
  4. Click Generate Report.
  5. Click Print, or click Save As to export the report to Excel / PDF.

    there is no Inventory Aging report in the Premium Licenses
