inFlow beta v3.2: Better reporting, better ordering and much more!

Posted by Siobhan Hitchmough

Running a business is no easy thing and we know that your time is precious.  We’ve talked to you about streamlining your inventory process so you can run out to pick up your kids.  Seen you working overtime to get your orders shipped out at the holidays.  And even helped you update your prices when your vendor decides to pull a pricing switcheroo.

With all that in mind, we’ve been working to save you even more time and help you get the most out of the work you’re already doing.  Here’s how:

New buttons to sell to and buy from your customers/vendors with one click

It’s Tuesday and your vendor calls to see if you have any orders to put through this week.  Not sure what you need? Not to worry!  With one click you can create a PO right from their vendor record with all the items you need to order.  There’s no need to fill in your vendor info or choose the items to buy. inFlow can give you a list of items based on the current state of your orders, letting you get on with your day.

Same goes for customers as you’ll now be able to create a new sale right from their customer record by clicking the new “Sell” button.

More detailed payment reporting

inFlow can record several payments on the same order, but reporting was always a summary of those payments.  We took the first step with customer and vendor statements but now you can get even more detail from your payments reports.  Want to know how much cash you took in today? How about the individual payments received this month?  No sweat, we’ve got you covered.

Faster, lighter, and more secure installations

inFlow uses a powerful database engine (Microsoft SQL Server) to protect your important data. We know this can sometimes cause installation to be slow or problematic.  So for new installations on Windows 7 and up, we’ve upgraded the database engine to a newer one!  SQL Server 2014 Local DB is faster and uses up less of your computer’s resources.  We’ve also made changes for improved security.  End result?  Everything should work just a little better than before.

There are also lots more feature improvements and fixes designed to help you manage your business.  If you want a full list of the features and changes on this update please have a look at our release notes.

Want to be one of the first to try our new beta? Head over to http://beta.inflowinventory.com/ for more information and to download the new update!  Remember this is a beta version and by using this version while logged in you’ll be added to the beta tester list.  As one of our beta testers, you get access to brand new features and improvements before anyone else!

Now you may run into rough edges we haven’t had a chance to polish yet, and we need your feedback to make inFlow better.  If you find anything that seems off, please let us know at beta@inflowinventory.com

We can’t wait to hear what you think!
