[Update: We announced our plans to sunset inFlow On-Premise on July 2022. This message was originally sent to inFlow customers on March 27, 2018. We’ve republished it here on the blog because we believe it’s be transparent about our company values and direction.]
When we started building inFlow ten years ago, it was important to us to help the largest number of small businesses while delivering a great experience. This led us to build on a technology platform that would set our users up for success: Windows.
It’s amazing how time flies. Since then, inFlow has been downloaded over 1 million times, and we’ve gone from two dreamers coding in a basement to an amazing team of talented and hard-working individuals. Our passion for helping small businesses still drives our daily goals. But technology has changed dramatically. It’s now just as natural to send emails from your smartphone as from your desk.
Our new online product, inFlow Cloud, is a year old and customers tell us that it helps them in ways that weren’t possible with a local-only product like inFlow On-Premise. We’re excited by new technologies and the opportunities they create for us to serve your business better. With that in mind, we will be focusing our future development efforts towards inFlow Cloud.
We know that if your business relies on inFlow On-Premise, you may not want to switch products. That’s okay. There will be no disruption to your service. Will you still be able to continue using your existing system? Absolutely. Can you still access our top-notch support team? For sure. The only thing that changes is that inFlow On-Premise will not receive significant feature updates going forward.
It means a lot to us that you’ve chosen inFlow to help run your business. Technology will continue to innovate and so will we. We’re excited to see where it takes us, together!
Sincerely,
Stephen and Louis

Hi,
Thank you for not forcing us to move on cloud…you really do seem to care about small businesses. We also have an assembly plant and are looking for an Erp solution that can integrate with inflow or do you have any plans to build something further
I really wish that inflow would go back and read the letter from the founders.
On premise will sunset next year, and it’s either switch to cloud or you can run it offline, sort of, with no future support. If something happens to your computer or you want to change computers you will be out of luck.
We were one of your early and original customers. We’ve paid for the support plan for many years. Now, you are pretty much forcing us to go to the cloud version or roll the dice. Our small business cannot afford more than 3 times what we’ve been paying for the program.
I can’t understand why you abandon your early adopters and loyal customers and expect them to pay a minimum of $1200 per year, especially when inflation is skyrocketing and production costs have more than doubled.
I would consider your cloud plan if you had an affordable option.
Hi Dan,
Thanks for getting in touch, and for supporting inFlow for all of these years.
It seems like your concern is about something happening to your On-Premise server after sunset, and that’s totally understandable.
I’d encourage you to reach out to our support team (support@inflowinventory.com) so that we can find out more about how inFlow is set up at your business.
Once we know that we can better advise you on the best way to keep On-Premise running after sunset, if that’s what you’d like to do.
Regards,
Thomas
