We’ve been so excited to get inFlow Inventory v3 into your hands and the reaction has been astounding! The community feedback has been incredible and motivational as we continue, and we wanted to share some of what we’re planning for the future of inFlow.
inFlow Inventory will no longer support Windows XP as of December 31st, 2015
Since Microsoft dropped support for XP in April 2014, we’ll be following suit as of the end of next year. There’s a full rundown on the particulars of Microsoft’s position on XP available on their site but the key point Microsoft makes is: “If you continue to use Windows XP now that support has ended, your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses.”
It’s important to us that your data is safe and this will also enable us to move forward with new technologies to improve your inFlow experience. With that in mind, we will no longer be supporting Windows XP as of December 31, 2015.
Support is ending for inFlow Inventory v2 on December 31, 2014
If you’re happy with inFlow version 2 and would prefer not to update, that’s totally fine, we know that lots of the community are pleased with v2. You will continue to be able to use your existing v2 licenses as long as you want, however, to continue moving forward with inFlow development we will no longer be providing customer support for inFlow v2 after December 31, 2014.
For those who intend to continue using inFlow v2, you can find the relevant download and support articles at http://v2.inflowinventory.com.
Hold on, you said new things! What do you mean more new things?!
So now that we’ve got the housekeeping out of the way, let’s talk about the exciting stuff that the above changes will let us do! We have all sorts of improvements on deck but here are a couple of the big ones for the next release:
- Customer/Vendor statements – print a summary of orders for specific customers or vendors as well as balances due.
- Emailing invoices – email invoices and other documents directly from inFlow!
We’re also introducing a roadmap that will keep you up to date on the latest major decisions about what new features we’ll be working on next at inflowinventory.com/roadmap.
We’ll keep the news coming as often as we can but in the mean time if you have any questions about the details above please drop us a line at email@example.com or visit our support centre http://support.inflowinventory.com and we’d be more than happy to clarify things or help in any way we can.
