There are a few ways to update your product prices based on markup:

In the product record - If you only have a few products that you want to set based on a markup, then you can adjust the prices of the products in the Product information screen.  inFlow will calculate the markup so that you can check that it’s right.  You can also simply type the percentage into the markup field and the price will be adjusted to match.

In the product pricing window - If you are setting the prices of multiple items at once you can use the product pricing window (accessible through the inventory section of the main menu) to set up your prices and indicate your markup percentage to do so.  For more detailed information on using the product pricing window please see our article on that feature here.

Importing your prices from a CSV -  If you have your prices available in a CSV you can import them into the system using the import feature found in the General subsection of the Main Menu.  If you want to create one you can do so using the following steps:

1. Use Export Data to save your Product data to a CSV file.
2. Keep the Item Name/Code and the Cost columns and delete all the others.
3. Create a third column for the price and title it UnitPrice; you can set it as a markup * the Cost column.
4. Save this again as a CSV file.

5. Import the new CSV file back into inFlow to update the prices.
