Presently there is no report which covers both but we do have a workaround outlined below which can be used to pull that information from the system.  The following are the instructions for using these workarounds for End of Year inventory and cost value information.

Pulling your inventory levels and cost information for year end 2011

This solution can be used to get your historical inventory levels for the end of year calculations.  It includes the cost of your items on the date in question and will automatically pull the information for December 31, 2011 and place it in a spreadsheet which will save as "historical.csv" and can be opened in Excel.
  1. Download the GetHistoricalCost.zip file here: http://www.archonsystems.com/support/GetHistoricalCost.zip and Export the folder within to your desktop (or another convenient location on your computer)
  2. Within the folder, right click the EndOf2011.bat file and choose "run as administrator"
  3. This should create a file called historical.csv and save it into the folder you're in.  You can double click it to open it in Excel and get the information you're looking for in the following format:
ITEM NAME / DESCRIPTION / UNIT COST / QUANTITY / TOTAL COST

Pulling your inventory levels and cost information for any date

This solution can be used to get your historical inventory levels and cost information for any date you may require and will place it in a spreadsheet which will save as `historical.csv`.
  1. Download  the GetHistoricalCost.zip file here: http://www.archonsystems.com/support/GetHistoricalCost.zip and save to your Server computer desktop or other convenient location (take note of the path or location of the folder eg. C:\GetHistoricalCost\).
  2. Open up a command prompt as an administrator by going to START > Run (or the search box) and typing "cmd" to locate the program.  Then, then right click the program icon and choose "run as adminstrator".  (A note for those using XP: when you right click the program icon you will need to choose "Run as..."  This will open a new window where you will have to choose "administrator" as the profile and enter your password).
  3. At the command prompt enter cd then a space, then the path of the folder you created in step 1 (eg. cd C:\GetHistoricalCost\)
  4. At the command prompt enter GetHistoricalCost 2010-12-31 (or replace the date with whatever date you like, but formatted as above, YYYY-MM-DD).
  5. This should save a file called historical.csv into the directory you had created (eg. C:\GetHistoricalCost\).  You can double click it to open it in Excel and get the information you're looking for in the following format:
ITEM NAME / DESCRIPTION / UNIT COST / QUANTITY / TOTAL COST

If you require only the stock levels on a certain date and not those combined with cost information then please have a look at this thread on our forum, as there is an in-program solution to your needs.  In the mean time, we've added the ability to pull this information to our wishlist but we hope that, in interim, this will allow you to pull the information you require for reporting.
