If you find that when you make a one-time changes to Sales Orders or Purchase Orders, these are being saved back to the Product, Customer record, making your prices, etc., unpredictable, then this article is for you.

Suppose for example that you have a customer named Bob.  When you take his latest order, he tells you that he has a new phone number, which you duly update on the order.  He's also buying a damaged item from you for a discounted price, so you adjust the description and price just for this order, as shown below.  When you save the order, inFlow asks you if you want to save these changes as the defaults, as shown below.

In this case, you probably want to save the new phone number so that it'll be filled in for Bob's next order, but you probably don't want to change the Product Description and Product Price (otherwise next time you enter that same item it'll show up at the discounted price with the "DAMAGED" description), so you would check the Phone box but leave the other two unchecked, then click Save Selected.  In other cases, like if your vendor changes their prices, you may want to update the price; this is why inFlow asks you.

You can also check the "Always do this" box before clicking Save Selected or Skip to have inFlow stop asking you and do the same thing (either save or don't save the updated information) from that point forward.  If you use "Always do this" and then later change your mind, you can reset these options under Main Menu (round button at the top left) -> Settings -> Personal Settings so that inFlow will start asking you again.

So if you find that your product prices, descriptions, customer information, etc. are being overwritten when you make a change in the Sales, this is probably why.  You can go into the Personal Settings and reset the options, and next time, hit "Always do this" without saving the changes.  Please note that if you have set up multiple users in inFlow these settings can be different for each user, because different people may want to do things differently, so you might want to show your colleagues this article as well!
