In Australia, for example, it is common to show the product price including the tax, and then at the bottom of the invoice, show the amount of the GST that was included in the above prices.

We're aware that inFlow currently doesn't have great support for this, and offering a built-in solution is on our wishlist.  In the meantime, here's a suggestion that you might be able to use to set up the taxes included.

You can set up your products with the tax-included price and then two taxes in inFlow that cancel each other out.  For example, if you want to include a 10% tax included, you can set up your taxes as shown below:

In this setup, the order total will not be affected - it first takes away 9.0909% and then adds back 9.0909%.  This may seem incorrect but we have to remember that when you are reducing the price the percentage will not be the same as the tax percentage.  For a full explanation of why and a rundown of the formula used to calculate your percentage please visit this article.  Once this is set up, you can create a custom document that shows only the positive tax amount next to "Tax Included".  This way, your final invoice shows the tax included prices and the amount of tax included, as below:

We've prepared a sample custom document that works this way.  You can download it at http://www.archonsystems.com/support/tax_included_receipt.doc

You can import this as a custom document into inFlow and try it out.  More info on how to set up custom documents:  http://www.inflowinventory.com/KnowledgeBase/questions/193/

There are a few drawbacks to this approach.  One is that it can be tricky that what's shown on the screen differs from what's on the printed document.  Also, if you use e.g. the Sales Tax report, the numbers there won't be quite correct, so you may need to do some extra calculations for the taxes.  But give it a try and let us know what you think!
