I have a purchased/licensed edition of inFlow and I'd like to move my copy of inFlow to a new computer, how do I do that?

Moving the database to a new computer

That's easy, simply follow the steps below and you will be using your copy of inFlow on a new computer in no time:

1. On the old computer, do a manual backup of your database by going to Main Menu > General > Backup Data and choose to save the file to your desktop.

2. Save the backup file (the one you just created) to a USB key, CD, DVD or other means of transferring the file from one location to another.

3. Download and install the latest version of inFlow from our website here: http://www.inflowinventory.com/software-download.aspx on the new computer.

4. De-activate the old copy of inFlow (on the old computer) by going to Main Menu > Settings > Downgrade to Free.

5. Activate the new copy of inFlow (on the new computer) by entering your web account information (email, password as e-mailed to you upon your purchase).  For more information on WebAccounts etc. please see this article: http://www.inflowinventory.com/KnowledgeBase/questions/205/User+IDs,+Server+Names+and+Web+Accounts,+oh+my!

6. Save the backup database on the new computer and then in inFlow go to Main Menu > General > Restore Data.

Changing the server computer information from the client end

Once you have changed the location of the database you will need to point your client computer to that new location.  In order to do so simply change your connection settings.  This can be done as follows:

1. Main Menu > Settings > Change Connection

2. Enter the new information and click connect

Should you have any further questions or concerns please let us know!  If you're having trouble re-activating please e-mail us at support@inflowinventory.com and let us know the situation.
