I have problem installing or launching inFlow, what should I do? |
||||||||
If you already use inFlow and have started having some problems running inFlow, you'll need a backup of your database. If you don't already have one, follow this guide to back up your database files first.
Then, try the following steps to clean things up and reinstall inFlow: 1. Uninstall inFlow. 2. Delete the contents of the following two directories: a. The inFlow directory: C:\Program Files\inFlow Inventory (or C:\Program Files (x86)\inFlow Inventory if you're on a 64-bit version of Windows) b. The database directory: On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\inFlow Inventory On Vista or Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\inFlow Inventory 3. Uninstall Microsoft SQL Server Native Client from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (or Programs and Features) if it's there. 4. Go to this directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\ (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\ if you're on a 64-bit version of Windows) If this directory doesn't exist, then skip to the next step. Look for subdirectories called MSSQL.1, MSSQL.2, etc. If there's only one called MSSQL.1, and none called MSSQL.2, etc., then delete the files in the following two folders: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Template Data 5. Download and install the new version of inFlow from our website here. If you still have problem launching inFlow, please search or ask for a solution from our online forum. Please post your installation log at C:\Program Files\inFlow Inventory\Installer.log or on a 64-bit version of Windows C:\Program Files (x86)\inFlow Inventory\Installer.log |
