inFlow lets you select products, customers, or vendors using what we call the Detailed Entity Combo Boxes, which provides you with additional information to help find the entity to select.

The most commonly used Detailed Entity Combo Box is for selecting products. The other entities work very similarly.

When you click into the cell of the table or combo box, the dropdown automatically appears, letting you select a product. From here, you can select a product by clicking the product you wish to select. For products, this dropdown shows the Item Name/Code, Description, Category, and Default Price.

You can begin typing the Item Name/Code of the product to help find the product you are looking for. You can also scroll up and down by using the mouse wheel or pressing the up and down keys on your keyboard. Once the product you want is selected, you can confirm the selection by pressing Tab or Enter on your keyboard.

The Details column allows you to get extra information on the entity. By putting your mouse over the Open link for a product, more detailed information on the product quantities is shown. Clicking on this link will also bring up the detailed Product Information.

You can resize the dropdown by clicking and dragging the bottom right corner of the dropdown.

You can select Add New Product to pop up a Product Information screen where you can create a new product to select.

Also, if you click Search for Products, this will bring up the Advanced Search Dialog for products. You can narrow down the list of products with this search. For example, you can search for products only within a certain category. This search will stay in effect until it is subsequently changed. To clear a search, click Search for Products, then Reset, then Search.
